The Body Rays new Self Spa ad recently arrived in my inbox. I have always been curious about the Ion detox machine and so I decided to go visit Sonja and check it out. I have had Multiple Sclerosis for almost 17 years and although I am still mobile, it’s obvious I have troubles walking. I am very open to alternative treatments and highly recommend the far infrared sauna that is another new addition down at Body Rays.

I have now completed four treatments using the Ion detox machine. I live a pretty clean life style, but there were still interesting bits that ended up in the foot bath! On my last treatment, I used the far infrared sauna first, followed by a quick shower and then I sat for 30 minutes in the Ion cleanser bath. Nothing much seemed to be coming out for the first half of my treatment, but by the end there were enough colourful tidbits floating in the water to make me feel like it was a successful treatment.

I have also had swelling in my lower limbs for almost a year. I have tried many things to get rid of the swelling to no avail and it was coming to the point where my ankles were so swollen that my walking was affected on top of my MS challenges. Since I have started the Ion detox cleanse foot baths, my ankles have not been as swollen as previously and I look forward to continued success.

I am also very excited to say that last night was the first night that I have slept through the entire night. For years I have been up 2-5 times per night to use the bathroom. I feel totally refreshed this morning and I am certain the combined far infrared sauna and Ion detox foot bath are responsible!

Thank you Sonja for expanding your Tanning Salon so that we can feel as well on the inside as we glow on the outside!!

Wow. After trying to lose those winter pounds, I took Sonja's advice and glistened it up in the Infrared Sauna - UNBELIEVABLE. My skin is glowing, and I've lost three pounds in one week. Then it was off to Body Ray's tanning salon, where he got naked in a spray booth, emerged like a bronzed God and quipped to adoring salon hussies: It's hard work, keeping yourself always looking good.

It's a small tanning salon on the outside, but big inside! Very clean with fully stocked amenities; bath, face, hand towels, paper booties, shower caps, individually packed wet napkins, even hair bands and hair clips for us girls who want to put up our long hair while we're tanning. The older lady who runs the place is super nice and very helpful as well. She always accommodates me even if I get in too close to closing time.

I have been tanning for many years and had never been to such a classy, inviting, clean and relaxing tanning salon before I walked through the doors of Body Rays. No matter what type of mood I'm in before I enter the salon, I always leave feeling good about my visit. Maybe it is because Sonja and Rose are two of THE nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, or perhaps it's cutie Sheba greeting me when I walk through the door, or it could possibly be the wonderfully fragrant essential oils burning in the background that lighten my spirits. (I thinks it's all of the above, to be honest)
All I can say is, keep doing what you are doing because it is working at keeping me a happy tanner. I will never walk through another tanning salons' doors as long as Body Rays is around... never!!

I love the Mystic Tan. I like the idea of going in the stand-up booth for 2 minutes after the Mystic. (only $2) It dries and sets the solution so you don't feel sticky for that half an hour. Great Call!

Personally, I think Body Rays is the NUMBER ONE tanning salon in and around Vancouver. The beds are the top of the line and they also carry a wide variety of tanning lotions. The salon is always very clean and sanitary. Also, customer service is their first priority at Body Rays.
Rose, who works there, is one of the kindest people I know. When I come in sad or upset, Rose is the first person who tries to help. You can also tell she is a cajun because she will make you laugh until you cry.
